I mean I was fumbling for words to describe Crowley and "disaster" and "puppy" seemed to go so well together.
Thinking about the implications of this. Gwen's dad finding out she's spider-woman - someone he hated on wrongful presumptions - and his instinct is to be a cop and try to arrest her. He pulls a gun on his own daughter. Gwen runs away from home because of this, he loses her. He finally realizes he can't support his daughter and be a cop at the same time and his solution is to just. quit being a cop.
I don't think it's a coincidence that this movie came out during pride month tbh.
shoutout to everyone dealing with. thhe fucking difficulty
the fact that all of my mutuals immediately reblogged this from me really says something about all of us, doesn't it
there's out of character fanfiction where it's like: "yeah, I can tell that this interpretation is in fact based on this Character, but the writer has taken enough artistic liberties that it does become sorta unlikely." and you know, I'm okay with that. messing around with interpretation is part of the fun with transformative art. I'll rock with a fic that's a bit out there but still reminiscent of canon. like, I can tell we watched or read the same thing and that you have a very specific interpretation that's intuitive to you. that's great.
and then there's out of character fanfiction where it's like "hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. yeah. he would not fucking say that."
